How to Save Videos on iPhone From Any Site

iOS makes downloads slightly confusing — files land in the Files app, not Photos. This guide walks through the whole flow with Safari, no extra apps required.

Understanding where iPhone downloads go

When you download a video in Safari, iOS saves it to the Files app — by default under "Downloads" in iCloud Drive or On My iPhone. It does not appear in Photos automatically. Moving it to your camera roll takes two extra taps via the share sheet.
