How to Download TikTok Videos Without a Watermark

Why the watermark appears

When you use TikTok's own "Save video" button, the app generates a new copy of the video with the TikTok logo and the creator's username animated across it. The original uploaded file, however, has no watermark — and that's the file a link-based downloader fetches.

Because you're getting the source file rather than removing anything, there is no quality loss and no blurry patch where a watermark used to be.

What about videos where saving is disabled?

Creators can turn off TikTok's save button, but that setting only affects the in-app button. If the video is publicly viewable, a downloader can still fetch it from the share link.

   In the TikTok app, tap the Share arrow on the video and choose "Copy link". You'll get a short vm.tiktok.com link — that works fine.

   Open the TikTok downloader in your browser, paste the link, and press Download.
